About
Allow me to introduce myself: my name is Marie Connelly, and I am not a guru.
I joined the field of community management about four years ago when I started out at WEGO Health, working hard to build an engaged community of Health Activists – enthusiastic patients who work tirelessly to help others through social media.
I’m now managing communities of practice for GHDonline, an organization dedicated to improving health care delivery through global collaboration.
As you can probably tell, I’m a bit of a health social media nerd.
After listening and lurking in the community of community managers and social media practitioners for a few years, I’ve decided to step out of the shadows and start participating. I have been tweeting as @marieconnelly for a little while now, but find that the conversations I would like to have often extend beyond 140 characters.
So, here I am. I am not a guru. I am still learning.
I hope that will always be the case.
It’s also worth noting that my voice is only one of many at GHDonline – the thoughts and concepts discussed throughout this blog are my own and by no means representative of GHDonline policy or opinion. If you see my face next to it, assume I’m the one who’s talking.
